This Old Relocatable Building # 7 Do colors matter when daylighting

This Old Relocatable Building has a drivers area that is now patched, cleaned and ready for paint. We just took a footcandle measurement. The numbers showed this 13" Sun-Dome Tubular Skylight had 65.3 ftc. at a 30" work height at 3:00pm pacific. This is the fun part of being a part of Sun-Dome I get to play with sustainable projects this.

What we want to see is the daylighting performance difference by changing the rooms colors from the black and red walls to a white and gray. We have several projects where the designers choices in colors had a huge difference in reducing our Sun-Domes daylighting performance.

This Old Relocatable Building will be a good case study to show true daylighting results based on color choices. If you have a project that we can help you with call Castle Daylighting at 949-487-3940
